VINTAGIO - Vintagio Donates Wine  to Trap Shoot's HomeAid Fundraiser  9.18.2008

2008 Trap Shoot for HomeAid HomeAid of Northern California is targeting a new fundraising total of $150,000 with its seventh annual trap shoot, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept 18, at the Livermore-Pleasanton Rod & Gun Club. The event is supported by the Northern California homebuild

Since the inaugural trap shoot fundraiser in 2002, HomeAid has raised more than $1 million to help fund the construction of shelters for the transitionally homeless throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. The 2002 trap shoot comprised of five-person teams was such a booming success (raising about $75,000) that in each successive year it has grown in popularity within the Bay Area s homebuilding industry. In 2005 the event netted nearly $250,000. Despite a softening new-home market in the region, homebuilders, suppliers and vendors are again stepping up to support this year s event.

Even in these challenging market conditions, HomeAid is grateful for the ongoing support of our trade partners and supporter of our signature fund-raising event, said Julie O Connor, Executive Director for HomeAid. We hope to achieve our goal of $150,000 for 2008, which will be used to support our organization and our shelter development program.  Continued on MercuryNews.com
